The fourth of July was a great day here at camp. Not only was it the fourth of July, it was also my friend and cabinmate Oscar's birthday.We had a big camp barbecue. There were also fireworks over Mirror Lake that the eighth graders went to. We heard the fireworks here at camp. We also saw the flashes behind cabins 1, 2, and 3.
My favorite part of the day was the barbecue. We had hot dogs, burgers, cake, ice cream, soda, and chips.We listened to music that represented our country. I had seconds on hot dogs and soda. I even had thirds on chips. It was an amazing day.
